if uncle Tilly is using a dial-up, you may not want to autoupdate;
that straw is very thin, and some of the SUSE 9.1 updates are huge
(many multipl Mbytes!); for exactly this reason, I manually select
(using YAST2, which seems to work Ok for this purpose).
