It looks like there's new USB TV tuner devices, but so far their
drivers aren't up to scratch (usbsniff'd handshaking, MPEG out instead
of V4L) so they're not quite mythtv-capable.  But give it 6 months
and we could be in luck ;)

cool -- sounds like fun!   (for some values of "fun" that include
Catherine giving out that this bloody media center crap doesn't work, at
least.)

I like the sound of

    - modchip
    - linux boot CD
    - NFS mount from PC

as a nifty linux hacking option that won't screw up the games-playing
options too much.
