Commercial products could be under just about any licence, I would
think: The developer chooses his licence for a given instance of his
codebase depending on what effect he's trying to achieve with it.
Sometimes, compatibility with other people's licence terms is an issue,
if you intend to redistribute derivative works. That is, you're
responsible for respecting those other people's conditions, in reuse of
their copyrighted materials. This is equally true with both open-source
and proprietary licensing.
