[ILUG] PDF Files

This is me being curious more than any real need.  I accidentally over 
wrote an OpenOffice Document  that I wanted to hold on to.  However I 
did create a PDF of the document which is safely stored,  This got me 
wondering if OpenOffice can ceate a PDF file is there any way of getting 
OO to open the PDF it created  for editing?

If I simply do a File ... Open it doesnt understand the format and gives 
me the list of filers but PDF isnt (obviously) there
