For what it's worth, you can buy open-source supported Radeon 9200 
R280 from Komplett, about 70 euro or so. Which is where I bought 
mine.

NB: Dave... could you fix radeon DRI to remove the silly "if (display 
!= ":0.0") return ENSORRYNODRI" that must be in there somewhere? 
People do run local displays other than :0.0. ;)
