CentOS would be highly recommend it. We run it for a good few proprietary
applications that require RedHat Enterprise. If I were you, I'd be very
very tempted to try work out how Oracle know it's the real deal or not,
and fake it.
The libraries etc. are the same, so it should work 100% with Oracle
Failing that, I've definitely seen apt repositories for RHE3 updates;
have a look at:
http://dries.studentenweb.org/apt/
So, you can buy RHE3, and keep it updated for free.
