O2 strangely don't provide text services. The company I'm working for
needed this and tried getting in contact with most of the mobile
providers in Ireland.
Much head-banging later we went with clickatell. They can do receiving
and sending sms's. There's an api which you can use and their prices
aren't bad at all.
The sms interface can be slow at times but maybe the xml/curl interface
is faster than the curl/fopen one which we used. We may change it in the
future to see, didn't have time then.
