NX from www.nomachine.com is exceptionally good. An order of magnitude
faster than vnc. It does come at a price, however, but is worth it in my
opinion. I use it on a daily basis. The FreeNX project is probably worth
keeping an eye on as it is building on the core of NX itself, which is
opensource.
