[ILUG] Eircom rant

Eireann Design (Gianni Ponzi) gianni at eireanndesign.ie

I know this is probably not the place but being relatively new in this
country I wanted to see if my case is the norm:

I am moving 10miles down the road. I recently applied to move my phone line
and what do they tell me...I can't keep my number because the area is on a
different exchange!!!

Of course I can always set up call forwardsing for 30euro + 8euro per month.

Anyone else have this experience? Any suggestions?
