Are you using Gnome or KDE?

If KDE then:

Add a new printer using the OOo spadmin program. Once it launches:

1. Select "New Printer..."
2. Connect a PDF converter
3. A specific driver
4. Generic Printer (T42 enabled)
5. Then add the command (full path might be nedded):
   kprinter --stdin
and call it KPrinter or some such

Now when you print through OOo use this printer and it will open the KDE
print system dialog allowing you to use KDE's print system's filters, # of
copies _and_ pages per sheet.

Disclaimer: It's been a while since I did this but I traced through the
steps and my settings. It should work but YMMV.

Kind regards,
Barry O'Donovan
