[ILUG] swap partition or not ?

Hi,

   I'm using gentoo linux at the moment and I'm not really
doing that much with it but I'm not using a swap
partition because I thought that with 768MB of RAM it 
wouldn't be neccesary. Please enlighten me as to whether or
not I really need it...
