[ILUG] Raid 1 boot error

[ILUG] Raid 1 boot error

Did the following

used fdisk to add hdb1 & hdc1 [both partitions made same size]

mkfs -t ext3 /dev/hdb1 (hdc1)

mdadm --create /dev/md0 --level=0 --raid-devices=2 /dev/hdb1 /dev/hdc1

(it believed partitions to be ext2, fdisk-l shows type 83)

edited fstab:
/dev/md0 Store-001 ext3 defaults 0 0

getting the following boot-error
Dec 16 10:14:47 localhost mount: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad
superblock on /dev/md0,
