[ILUG] Preserving group & passwd to another server

Hi all,

Well since I got no replies on my Oracle FS question, I've decided to 
try again ;-0
I'm thinking of rsync'ing /etc from one box to the other.

I know that just copying /etc/passwd & /etc/group is not sufficient.
But I reckon an rsync will be cool - aside from having to be carefull to 
exclude certain files such as /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/* and 
hostname etc.

Any particular gotchas I should look out for before I proceed?
Suggestions for files to exclude are most welcome.
