And here's yet another - Oracle's lack of distinction between "" and 
NULL despite ANSI standards. I'm involved in a port of an application 
from MySQL to Oracle, and thi is biting us in the ass. Despite rather a 
lot of heat on our IRC channel, there wasn't very much light - this is 
it seems a well known piece of Oracle stupidity.
