wow! that's some crazy stuff! Luckily, these problems can be avoided
with some simple tips:

1. always validate your stuff
2. send as text/html by default, or if you don't know the browser
supports application/xhtml+xml - it's my experience that browsers
/always/ support text/html, even if only for legacy reasons
3. don't use the <?xml ?> intro. it's optional anyway.

that's it, really - you can safely ignore the CDATA vs PCDATA horror
stories as well. I've /never/ come across a case where any parsing
problems occured, and I /never/ use the CDATA containers.
