[ILUG] Sharing A Drive

On Sun, Feb 01, 2004 at 12:54:59PM +0000 or so it is rumoured hereabouts,

I get the feeling from your post that you have formatted the 2nd drive as
fat32 specifically so as to share it using samba. Is this the case?

If so, you should note that the disk space you wish to share using samba
does _not_ need to be formatted as fat32. In fact, it's probably better
formatted as ext2/3 since you can then have proper file
ownership/permissions. A fat32 drive shared with samba will have all of
its files owned by whoever has the share mounted under doze. This is
almost certainly not what you want (yep, I can read minds...!).
