[ILUG] Amavisd-new

I have almost got Amavisd-new working with postfix and clamd. But for some 
reason when I point the Amavis.conf to the clamd socket so it can connect I 
get the following in my syslog


Feb  5 11:01:11 localhost amavis[3025]: (03025-02) Clam Antivirus-clamd: Empty 
result from /temp/clamd, retrying (3)

I have set the clamd user up in the clamd conf file as amavis but the log file 
and socket are opened as root.

Any pointers ? or is more information required.
