I couldn't agree more.  I use screen for everything.  What I don't get is
using the Konsole when using screen.

I'm not a very regular Konsole user but it seems to me that the Konsole's
main power function (multiple terminals) is already there is you use
screen.  Everything else is acheivable in an xterm.  Admittedly it has nice
menus so it's easier to configure.  I guess it's the default KDE terminal
so perhaps that's the reason.  A multiplexer in a multiplexer strikes me as
just plain confusing though.

Before discovering screen I used the multi-gnome-terminal.  Once I
found screen I binned it for an xterm.
