Hi,
My machine stopped booting last night - it had been a little
temperamental for the last few weeks, sometimes not powering up first
time, only working when I'd pull out the power cable and stick it in
again. Then it would run fine - last ran on Wednesday night for 2-3 hours.
Anyway, last night it wouldn't boot at all - the fans spin, the hard
drive spins up, LEDs on the motherboard come on, but that's it - no beeps.
Any ideas? - dead CPU (Athlon XP2500+, hadn't been running hot or
anything), power supply, motherboard (Abit AT7-MAX2)?
I have a Duron somewhere that I'll swap in tonight to see if that fixes
things, was just wondering if this booting thing was a symptom of bad
power supply or what?
Thanks,
Aidan.
