Oh I know what it is, thanks - I've been using those since the days of
SunOS 4 - but I didn't know how screen did it. Turns out that screen has
all kinds of nice event hooks (like "on screen change") and an
appropriately configured screenrc makes it do all that good stuff. Nice
things in process of being stolen from RH9 screenrc and put elsewhere.
