Linksys, netgear and allied telesyn all make pretty good dsl routers.
They're much cheaper than the Zyxel 643 eircom sell. D-Link are also
popular, but in my experience they're more hastle than they're worth. If
you're really pinching the pennies you could get an origo, but there are a
number of security issues with them unless you run them in bridged mode.
