[ILUG] More whitebox networking woes

[ILUG] More whitebox networking woes

Hi all,

This is a quick follow up to an earlier post about problems I had with
Whitebox Linux 3.0 and networking. I recompiled the kernel, but to no
avail, I still had the same problem (namely that the cards were detected,
but no network connection could me made).

I then installed WBEL 3.0 on my laptop, with completely different NICs,
3Com Etherlink XL 10/100 PCI (3c905-TX) in docking station, and a 3Com
PCMCIA FE575C 10/100. Same probs again.

I've given up on it for the moment, but I'm curious to know if anyone has
had similar problems using WhiteBox Linux 3.0 and 3Com NICS?

Cheers,

R

p.s Thanks for the help/suggestions from earlier postings.
