i'm the committee member who harrassed everyone else on the committee
to do it this way.  though in my wording it was explicit that it would
not happen w/o commitment.

i don't think the committee should drive the expo anymore - i think a
group of people who can honestly devote the time and energy to it should
do the expo.  if those people can't be found then i don't think we should
do the expo.  it's better not to do it at all, then to do it half-assed.

so either people have the time to organise themselves now and put in a
few hours each week leading up to the expo (which will lead to something
the people involved should be proud of), or they don't.  in the past
it's been the latter and it's led to a lot of stress, frustration,
and results people had issues with.

so either people commit to this now, or i will annoy the crap out of
proinnsias, niall, aj, thomas and the others so that even if we do the
expo without that commitment they'll regret it every day leading up to
the event.
