2.6.2 works...except that the first attempt to contact any machine, over
ipv6 or ipv4 gives:

[root at cosimo root]# ping ftp.heanet.ie
connect: Resource temporarily unavailable
[root at cosimo root]# ping ftp.heanet.ie
PING ftp.heanet.ie (193.1.219.100) 56(84) bytes of data.

How wierd is that ? This happens for *any* host, any service:

[root at cosimo root]# ping 217.114.166.1
connect: Resource temporarily unavailable
[root at cosimo root]# ping 217.114.166.1
PING 217.114.166.1 (217.114.166.1) 56(84) bytes of data.

[root at cosimo root]# ssh valen at 136.206.15.1
ssh: connect to host 136.206.15.1 port 22: Resource temporarily unavailable
[root at cosimo root]# ssh valen at 136.206.15.1
The authenticity of host '136.206.15.1 (136.206.15.1)' can't be established.
RSA key fingerprint is 06:e4:57:f6:2c:b1:d9:94:b9:23:87:1d:70:2e:e3:89.
Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)?

John
