[ILUG] xterm colours

[ILUG] xterm colours

Stephen Shirley diamond at skynet.ie
Fri Feb 13 11:49:44 GMT 2004

Mornin',
Up till recently, i've been using gnome-terminal for my term needs,
but have found it a bit slow and memory intensive. I've since switched
to using fluxbox, so the tabing ability of gnome-terminal is now a moot
point, hence i started using xterm. Xterm is light weight, fast, but has
some annoying default settings, including eye-straining color schemes
and cruddy default selection settings. I got bored, fixed them to my
liking, thought other people might be interested, the colour scheme in
particular. It's vastly easier on the eyes than the default (which is
black on white), it's pretty close to how the linxu console looks.
Anyhoo, it's at diamond.nonado.net/dot.Xresources if anyone is
interested.
