Looks ok. I removed the last line and ran ldconfig again, but that
didn't fix the problem so I put it back.
I also renamed /etc/ld.so.cache, then ran ldconfig again and compared
the new to the old, but there was no difference.
An strace of ldconfig shows that the "/usr/lib/ is not a sybolic link"
message is printed just after:
lstat64("/usr/lib/", {st_mode=S_IFDIR|0755, st_size=36864, ...}) = 0
Nothing weird there.
I've ftp'd and reinstalled libc, locales, sysvinit, ldso, base-config,
base-files, debianutils, and a few other less likely candidates.
