 actually, that format originated with RCS, and is also used by CVS.
 see the “KEYWORD SUBSTITUTION‟ section of the co(1) man(1) page for
 details.  (SCCS has a similar concept, but the details are quite
 difference; if you have SCCS, see the get(1) man page, AFAICR,
 for details.)
