I run Mandrake 9.2, I get my mplayer packages from the Penguin Liberation
Front (PLF - http://plf.zarb.org/). After adding the PLF repository to my
urpmi media list, I just ask urpmi to give me mplayer, and it gives me an
mplayer that works for everything I've tried.
It also gives me a Xine that works, Apollon, and many other useful
packages.
