Or if possible (bribe the admin!) get a second mailbox setup on the 
Exchange server thats used for mailing lists, etc.  You can then 
configure outlook to use both mailboxes - the primary mailbox is the one 
with OOOs and the other one is not effected by the OOOs (afaik).
