I don't know about that. But, just in case, if you want to know the most
important unwritten rule in German Aldi stores: If you spot your boss or
any other superior of yours, pretend not to see him. People with class
claim they don't shop there.
The Irish equivalent would be like meeting your boss in an adult shop in
the seedier part of town - something which is perfectly ok in Germany,
btw.
