[ILUG] USB Stick busted?

[ILUG] USB Stick busted?

Hi
 I have a 128Mb USB stick - about 3 weeks!
Worked fine initially,
now get
hub.c: USB new device connect on bus3/1, assigned device number 50
usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 2, frame# 843
usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=50 (error=-110)
hub.c: USB new device connect on bus3/1, assigned device number 51
usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=51 (error=-110)

appended to /var/log/messages when I insert into usb port.

Needless to
when I try to mount I get
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/flash
mount: No medium found

Obvious explanation is that stick is fsck'd. I don't believe that water
got in but who knows...

Anything else I could try before putting in a jiffybag & sending back?

Thanks,

John
