 Hi,

We introduced a PiX into the mix a while back, I've been messing with
the Idea of having our Office server in a Rack in the data centre. So
the notion of a VPN comes to mind to secure the setup. Now we're not
going to go down the Cisco VPN route for the moment. I've got OpenVPN
here configured in the office and on a remote server.

I've opened port 5000 udp in and out for this exercise, it's connecting
fine.

I can ping the server, I can ftp to it (I've not tried any file
transfers yet).

I can not use Terminal Services over the connection nor can I browse the
disk on the server. (yes its windows)

Later on I'm going to try a VPN to a one of our production Linux servers
and see how that goes.

I'm really just wondering has anyone:

A) used OpenVPN with firewalls on either side of the VPN or just
used/looked at OpenVPN
B) is port 5000 UDP enough, or is there a data transfer port like port
20 for ftp other than port 5000?
