Barry,
I apologise for the mistakes in my email as I normally do my best to avoid
such errors, but 'in my defense' ;-), I was in a tough spot.
The reasons are as follows,
1) I was in our car, with a number of dogs going crazy in the back of the
car (no I wasnt driving...)
2) I was typing the email on my mobile phone, over a gprs connection to my
yahoo email account (T9 input can be a little akward at times when you are
in a hurry)
3) I was more concerned in getting the email sent in time for PK to read
it out on the show, to keep it within the context of the show, and the
letter he read out.
Just as a matter of interest, did anybody else email the show proposing
alternatives?
My only intention was to highlight alternatives, and also state the point
that I agreed with the comments mentioned in the aforementioned letter.

I involved ILUG (by CC'ing the email to the list), as I thought it might
start a discussion, which it seems to have done, and also to [perhaps
naïvely] help promote the ILUG, and propose alternatives to M$ products.
Granted a fully gramatically correct, spellchecked, nicely formated email
would have been better, but, as circumstances warranted, this was not to
be.
Regards,
R
