Ah, I'd forgotten about Freevo and MythTV. Yes, that's a point -- and
one that I should have remembered, given that my wife used to be an
engineer at TiVo. Except, wouldn't just using a nice large computer
monitor be even better for that? (I ask in nearly complete ignorance,
so it's not a rhetorical question.)
Of course, even a standard broadcast set would like quite good at PAL
resolution. In my area, we're stuck with NTSC (Never Twice the Same
Colour).
