Same holds true for me. XP boots way faster than RH 7.3, and
i'm talking about the time to get to the login dialog box on the RH

Don't shoot me but I have a dual-boot WinXP/Fedora Core 1.0 setup at
home with Grub boot loader.
System is an AMD Athlon 2400+
Sadly WinXP boots *much* faster - maybe a factor of 3. I have eliminated
most of the services I dont need - any other tips?
