I'd have to agree. I've used samba before sucessfully, but for some
reason in my current employer, myself and Paul can't work out how to get a
samba server setup so that the windows users can talk to it, or even get
our boxes to talk to the windows server. I spent a good three days at it,
and just gave up. It's mad; samba users get "connection refused" from the
windows servers, and windows users get "authentication failed" from the
samba servers.
It's just wierd. Best sticking to simple stuff that works, like yp and
nfs.
