Hoping that Fedora keeps GRUB files in /boot/grub:
mformat a:
mcopy /boot/grub/{stage?,menu.lst} a:
echo -e 'root (fd0)\ninstall /stage1 d (fd0) /stage2 p /menu.lst\nquit' | grub --batch
> 2 restore Grub so I get the boot up screen that I get now?
echo -e 'root (hd0,X)\ninstall /boot/grub/stage1 d (hd0) /boot/grub/stage2 p /boot/grub/menu.lst\nquit' | grub --batch
substitute X with the number of the partition containing /boot
(...erm, I have a problem with my english: what was the syntax for "substitute"?
"substitute the pillar with the spire" or "substitute the spire for the pillar"?
Or neither? Argh!)
