Yeah I ended up doing a ext3 format at one stage with the badblocks
switch turned on and nada.
Anyway in a fit of I like fugu, I installed OpenBSD 3.4 instead, but,
I'd be very ... worried about my workstation.
I mean, honestly, I blamed electromagnetic radiation on the bosses
spontaneous combustion... so I'd have to come up with an entirely
different excuse if I hosed my desktop.... possibly "ether-killer -
static feedback", or umm, "FSB frequency too low".

Yeah it was the wierdest thing ever, I'm not sure 'why' exactly it
happened...... probably that electro-magnetic discharge that killed the
boss.
