[ILUG] Totally OT: Has anyone seen the CD-WOW BPI decision?

[ILUG] Totally OT: Has anyone seen the CD-WOW BPI decision?

There was some interesting discussion on this on Joe Duffy before
Christmas...
Consumers are _not_ happy with the recording industry or the highstreet
retailers. Surely a better price for the consumer would mean an increase in
sales???

Irish highstreet prices are a complete ripoff:
One example:
Golden Discs Carlow: 1 x CD by Irish group ?16
Smaller record shop, Carlow (60m from Golden Discs) : the same CD ?9

The CD in question was not a re-release or back catalogue, but by buying it
in the other shop I saved myself ?7!
