Yeah, but i'm looking for a more permanent solution. We get these emails 
regularly and i cant spend my whole time decrypting them like that.

but thanks for the suggestion

meanwhile, at a suggestion from mr bedford i looked at using mutt. and i 
got the following error: S/MIME messages with no hints on content are 
unsupported.

ideas anyone?
