okay, I'm getting my head around this. The /lib/modules/<version>/build
symlink should point to your linux source tree, right (I guess that's
commonly /usr/src/linux-<version> or something similar)?
This symlink isn't there with the debian kernel-image, possibly cos the
kernel source tree commonly wouldn't exist. So can a debian kernel
packaging clued person help me out a little here.
I created the symlinks
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 14 Jan 28 19:01 /lib/modules/2.4.22-1-686/build -> /usr/src/linux
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root src 20 Jan 28 17:38 /usr/src/linux -> kernel-source-2.4.22
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 44 Jan 28 19:22 /usr/src/kernel-source-2.4.22/.config -> /usr/src/kernel-headers-2.4.22-1-686/.config
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 45 Jan 28 19:24 /usr/src/kernel-source-2.4.22/include -> /usr/src/kernel-headers-2.4.22-1-686/include/
and it compiles now. I'm not sure if what I've done is exactly right,
perhaps someone can tell me if there's a more correct way.
It seems to work (I've not brought it down to the phone line yet). However
the adsl-config script is nowhere to be found. I've a slightly old version
of sarge (late November). Does anyone know if it's packaged for debian?
