Ok, i should have said that i did try those as well (4.3.0pre5 at the time
i tried) with the same results as explained in my first email.

Frank pointed me out to a possible hardware failure which i tend to
believe in. That motherboard was already replaced because the last one
died (no video after 2 months).

I'm also going to send a message to nvnet.
