Hi All,

Akamai are aware of this problem and are on contact with us to replace to broken server. Service will be restored ASAP.

Regards,

Richard.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for looking into it. Sent an email through broadband.support at eircom.net with a detailed explanation of the problem and to forward it on to network ops, but I got a nice reply asking for my dsl modem type etc.. Havent heard anything back in 24hrs so im not sure if anything is indeed being done about it from their end.

As of 14:00 today I still cannot connect. Seems imdb.com suffers the same problem now. Their image server i.imdb.com also resolves to an eircom server.

If you could get abck to me when the issue is sorted Richard, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
Stephen

Im having problems trying to access a lot of websites, yahoo.com for one. Yahoo uses an akamai server, us.i1.yimg.com, which when resolved with eircom's DNS server (159.134.237.6) resolves to an eircom IP which is unreachable. Other nameservers resolve this correctly.

Can somebody else using eircom as their ISP confirm this for me?

	Thanks,
	Stephen
