Jul  9 15:31:38 netsoc syslogd 1.4.1: restart.
Jul  9 15:31:38 netsoc syslog: syslogd startup succeeded

Thats small extract from messages ... nothing happened between 0238 &
crash,  and first thing after crash was syslogd heh.
dmesg shows nothing interesting - yet again.
Sorry for lack of information earlier, no SSH from work, so can only work
from home.

Thanks for suggestion there Conor, I'll look into that site & software you
specified, hopefully help in some way,
