IMHO these yokes can be a little dangerous.
You need to be clear about your intentions with the app.
If you are going to fire and forget the app then they are great but in most
scenarios whatever you generate often needs extending and there is a risk that you
then have to start ploughing through someone's concept of a
4GL to modify the functionality which in turn means that you waste more time than
you originally anticipated.
If you are using an SQL Server 2000 a quick fix would be to use the xml functionality
and put a XSLT in front of it. You could alias your fields to tell the sheet what
to do with the data.
