 Last year, in the machines in our datacenter, I lost over 40 disks.
Depends on what you use them for. I remember looking after big Sun boxes.
Sun used to ship us a box of disks every month; we'ed lose one or two a
week.

 Disks are getting worse, and manufacturers know this, that's why you only
get a 12 month guarantee on most IDE disks these days.
