To my knowledge, all Adaptec AAR-series SATA controllers are based on
Adaptec chipsets compatible with the aacraid driver, except for the
(low-end) AAR 1200 / 1210 / 1210SA / 1205SA cards, which use slightly
modified Silicon Image 3112 chips. I don't know of any that use Intel
ICH5.
I'd appreciate hearing specifics on any such, to improve my SATA on
Linux Web page.
