it also relies that tornado has exported the filesystems over NFS so it
fails my VMS test, the VMS one gave you access to any file you would have
access to if you are logged into the remote machine just by prepending
machine:: to the front of the filename, the sheer power of this is not
apparent until you used to it and pissed at UNIXes for not having it :-)
something like this should be possible now with ssh and a kernel
filesystem, some sort of /ssh/machine2/ and it would use your keys and
username etc to connect also of course this is no use until it is used
everywhere and we ask how we survived for so long without it!!!
