If it's a subscriber-only list, set your list software to reject
non-subscribed posts rather than hold for moderation.
Your moderation queue wont be full of spam, real-people will get an
error faster than i can type 'go and subscribe' and click 'reject' in
mailman's interface. The truly persistent non-subscriber-posters will
eventually email the owner address (eg people who subscribe with one
address but post from another then ask why it doesnt work).
