Well here is mine
It took them 3 month to get me a connection...
Ordered end of february for in theory the 12th of march
got finally coeeentcted on 10th of june after numerous complaints
the only guy that actually bother to call me back was fed bium
informatio and could not do anything about it
He got a bollocking from somebody up because they thought he did not
call me back
he then called me to tell me that (I confirmed he add called as this
was probably monitored ) he told me what he'd told me 2 month before
that it was a new estate and they were short of a router
Next day miracle got a call to give me my number and the line was
working.

Subject: [ILUG] OT: folks who've had trouble getting online in Ireland
My wife Elana is going to be on RTE tonight (Wed Jul 28 2004), we hope,
in a discussion that will probably include reps from Eircom, ComReg, and
IIA.
She needs to hear from folks who've had trouble getting Internet access
in Ireland. RTE needs to know that there are lots of folks who've run
into problems, whether in an urban area or out in rural areas. Some
extreme examples will be equally helpful---the day Eircom made you cry
on the telephone, how you almost lost your job when a service guy never
showed up, or responses from ComReg driving you to drink. Getting
connected in Ireland shouldn't be high on the list of stressful life
experiences; we need true stories to reinforce the point.
Please call her at 087-699-7371 if you've found yourself in that kind of
situation and want to try and get the truth out.
Thanks!
B
